Crab Bomb Recipe

When it comes to recipes made with crabs, the first thing that comes to my mind is the Crab Bomb Recipe. This is a tasty and unique recipe that takes no time to make. This recipe is filled with butter and mayonnaise. And the servings are around 1/2 pound or more per person. Today we will be making around eight servings. I saw this recipe somewhere online and tried it out myself. And after changing a few ingredients and adding some other things, this is the sweet heaven I came up with.

What are crab balls made of?

Crab balls are made of crab meat, butter, mayonnaise, sauce, eggs, seasonings, breadcrumbs, etc. Everything is mixed into a smooth mixture and then turned into bite-sized balls. Then they are baked for around 10-15 minutes until they are golden brown and crispy. The main ingredient for this recipe is crab meat.

Ingredients

The ingredients that you need to make the crab bomb recipe are:

  1. Crab Meat – 4 Pounds (Jumbo Lump Preferred)
  2. Butter – 500 Grams (Unsalted)
  3. Mayonnaise – 1 Cup
  4. Bread Crumbs—1/2 Cup
  5. Salt
  6. Black Pepper
  7. Bay Seasoning—2 tsp.
  8. Sauce (Optional)
  9. Fresh Parsley–2 tbsp (chopped)
  10. White Vinegar–3 tsp

Equipment

  1. Multiple Bowl
  2. Oven

Step By Step Guide

  1. Mix the crab meat with the seasoning. The longer you keep the crab meat mixed with the seasoning, the better the taste will be.
  2. Add the mayonnaise and breadcrumbs and mix them well with the meat. Then, season it using salt and pepper.
  3. Make around 8-10 bite-sized balls that are around 1/2 lb each. Be extremely careful and don’t break anything. After each ball is made, place them each in a custard cup.
  4. Mix melted butter, Vinegar, and anything else you would like in a bowl. Pour the mixture over the crab meat until it is covered with it.
  5. Preheat an oven to about 370 ° and bake them for about 10–13 minutes. Keep an eye out in case they start burning.
  6. Take them out of the oven, garnish them with Parsley and enjoy them with sauce or anything you like.
